US-BASED CLIENT -
COMPUTER CENTRES
Appointed to undertake a series of strategic, devolved Computer Centres
to undertake the centralised computer services for the Group.
In addition to the highly complex technical facilities such as: cascade
protection and UPS systems, the large frame computer needs required specialist

One primary purpose was to create a pragmatic, low cost facility using current-knowledge
technology yet dynamic enough to impress internal and potential external
customers. This was achieved by a combination of 'theatrical' lighting design
that highlighted specific computer equipment upon which a visiting customer's
account was based; a visitor walk-through journey that segregated the 'clean'
environment from the visiting personnel using screens and air curtains;
a 'front-office/back-office' concept that created quality emphasis of finishes,
